These terms form a contract between you and DEPARTING LTD when you visit this website, create an account, browse the shop, or buy a travel eSim. A plan with automatic renewal is covered here too.
A travel eSim is digital content: after payment we deliver an eSim profile that you install on a compatible, unlocked phone or tablet. Plans are for consumer devices. They are not for routers, sensors, watches, cars, or other unattended equipment.
By paying you ask us to deliver the eSim immediately. Installing it over Wi-Fi before you travel does not start the plan. Most plans start when the eSim first connects to a network in a country the plan covers.
If these terms conflict with a plan page, the plan page wins for data, days, coverage, and fair-use rules. If they conflict with the returns policy, the returns policy wins for refunds.
You need an account to buy. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, and you must give a real email address.
Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on the account until you tell us it has been used without your permission.
We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, or if we cannot complete a payment or a delivery.
You can close the account from the privacy centre. We keep order records we are required to keep, without your email address.
The shop shows the destination, data, days, and price before you pay. You pay the price shown at checkout in the currency shown there.
Paying is an order for immediate delivery of digital content. After payment succeeds we send the eSim to your account. You install it from the install page, or by scanning the QR code, over Wi-Fi.
Your phone must support eSim and must not be locked to one carrier. Check the Devices page before you buy. We are not responsible if the phone cannot install an eSim because it is locked, incompatible, or missing a software update.
Keep the QR code and install page private. Anyone who scans them can use the plan. Do not share them in public.
Turn on data roaming for the travel line when you arrive. Your usual number can stay on a dual-SIM phone for calls and messages.
The plan lasts for the number of days shown at checkout, starting when the eSim first connects in a covered country, unless the plan page says otherwise.
When the days or the data run out, the plan ends. You can add more data to the same eSim where a top-up is offered, or buy a new plan.
We may suspend or end a plan if we reasonably believe it is being used on unattended equipment, in a way that breaks fair-use rules shown on the plan, or in a way that harms the network.
If we end a plan because we cannot deliver the service, we refund you as described in the returns policy.
We warrant that the eSim will be of satisfactory quality and fit for the purpose of providing mobile data in the countries listed on the plan, subject to coverage, fair-use, and network conditions outside our control.
Speed and coverage vary by local network. A plan does not guarantee a minimum speed, indoor coverage, or service on every island, tunnel, or ship.
This warranty does not cover a locked or incompatible device, a phone that has no eSim support, or use outside the countries the plan covers.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
Coverage depends on roaming partners in each country. Networks can be busy, under maintenance, or restricted by local rules.
Staying in one country for a long stretch can be limited by the fair-use rules shown on the plan. Using the eSim as a permanent home connection is not allowed.
We may replace a network or a route if a partner changes what they offer, as long as the destination list on the plan is still met as far as reasonably possible.
Service may be interrupted by events we cannot reasonably control, including local regulation, partner outages, and force majeure.
Use the eSim only on a compatible, unlocked consumer phone or tablet that you control.
Do not resell the plan, share the install code, or use the service for unlawful content, spam, or network abuse.
Follow local law in the country you visit, including any registration rules that apply to visitors.
Keep a way to reach us on the email address on the account so we can send receipts, install help, and service notices.
You pay by card or wallet at checkout. Card numbers are taken by our payment provider. We do not see or store the card number, PIN, or PUK.
Prices include any tax we are required to collect, unless checkout says otherwise. A bank or card issuer may add its own fee.
If a payment is reversed or a chargeback is opened, we may pause the eSim until the dispute is resolved.
A promotion code only applies if checkout accepts it. It cannot be exchanged for cash.
If you shop as a consumer in the UK or the EEA, you usually have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. An eSim is digital content that we deliver as soon as payment succeeds.
At checkout you ask us to start the service immediately and you agree that you lose the right to cancel once the eSim has been delivered to your account.
If you have not installed the eSim and no data has been used, you can still ask for a refund under the returns policy.
Refunds are described on the returns page. In short: unused service, an incompatible or locked device, and a failure to connect after we have tried to help.
Used data cannot be returned. Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with.
The website, the brand, the copy, and the software we use to deliver the eSim belong to us or to our licensors. You may use them only to buy and use a plan.
You do not get any right in the eSim profile except a licence to install it on your device for the plan you bought.
How we use personal data is described in the privacy policy. How we use cookies is described in the cookies policy.
By creating an account or buying a plan you confirm you have read those policies.
You will indemnify us against losses, claims, and costs that arise from your misuse of the eSim, your breach of these terms, or your breach of local law, except to the extent we caused the loss by our own negligence or breach.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.
We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or other indirect or consequential loss, or for a failure caused by your device, a local network, or an event outside our reasonable control.
Our total liability for a plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan.
If you buy as a consumer, these limits apply only as far as the law allows. Your statutory rights remain.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that a consumer may also bring a claim in the courts of the place where they live if the law of that place requires it.
We may refuse an order if we reasonably believe it would break sanctions, export rules, or other law that applies to us.
We may change these terms. The version that applies to a purchase is the version shown at checkout, identified by the date on the terms page.
A change does not affect a plan you already paid for, unless the law requires it or the change is to your advantage.
If a court finds a clause unenforceable, the rest of these terms still apply.
A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.
You may not transfer a plan or these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them to another company that continues the same service.
These terms, the returns policy, the privacy policy, the cookies policy, and the details on the plan page are the whole contract for that purchase.
Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to break security, scrape the shop in a way that harms the service, or post malware. Do not use the site to send spam or to collect other people’s personal data.
The shop does not host a public forum. If you send a message through the contact form, you grant us a licence to use that message to handle your request and to improve the service. Never send a card number, PIN, or PUK.
The website is a shop and an account for travel eSims. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. For any other loss arising from the website alone, our liability is limited to £100.
Continued use of the site after we publish a new version of these terms is acceptance of that version for use of the site. A purchase still follows the version shown at checkout.
At checkout you can choose to renew a plan automatically at the price and period shown. Each renewal adds data to the same eSim. You do not install again. Subscriptions are only offered on plans the shop marks as renewable.
The subscription continues until you cancel or we cannot collect a payment. Cancel from Account, then Subscriptions, before the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewals. The current period runs until its days or data end. We do not charge a cancellation fee.
Unused data from one period does not usually carry into the next, unless the plan page says it does. If a renewal payment fails, we retry for a short window and then cancel the subscription.
The renewal price is the price shown when you subscribed, unless we give you notice of a change before the next charge and you choose to stay subscribed. Each renewal is charged in advance. If we cannot renew, we do not charge for that period.
A renewal is a further delivery of digital content that you asked us to start by leaving auto-renewal on. Once that period is delivered, the same withdrawal waiver applies. Refunds follow the returns policy. A period that has started and been used is not refunded. For a renewal, the liability cap is the amount charged for that period.
